When: New Date! July 17th 1-2:30pm

Where: Seven Oaks 19725 Oak St. Suite 7, Cornelius NC

Who: Dancers with and without disabilities ages teen- adult (including seniors)

What: Led by Lead Teacher Davian Robinson, who is blind, in this camp dancers will remove sight from the equation (by wearing a blindfold or closing eyes) and dance utilizing other senses.  Davian feels that his lack of sight allows him to explore movement with more freedom and less self judgment; he invites you into this explorative space with him for a deep dive into movement development.  He uses play, rigor and creativity to stretch the imagination, expanding what is possible in our bodies and our understanding of what movement can and should be.  This workshop requires dancers to explore their own bodies and make unique choices on what to do and how to do it. Day 2 will build on Day 1 so you’re invited but not required to attend both days. This Sensory Beyond Sight Workshop is sponsored by Culture Blocks— a community partnership funded by Mecklenburg County.
